Terms of Use
The terms you agree to when you place an order with recap.
Who you are buying from
Both shops are run by Krevia Studios LLP. The shop name you arrived through is a trading name; the company behind it is the same one, at the same registered address, with the same GST number, and it is the company you are contracting with when you place an order.
Our registered address and GST number are printed at the top of this page and on every invoice we issue. If you ever need to write to us about an order, that address reaches us.
You need an account to order
You can browse without signing in, but placing an order needs an account, which you create with your phone number and a one-time code. That is how we know an order is yours and how you can see it afterwards.
Keep your phone secure. Anyone who can receive your one-time code can sign in as you, and we treat orders placed from your account as placed by you.
One account is for one person. Please do not share it, and please give us a real phone number and delivery address — we cannot deliver to an address that does not exist, and an order we cannot deliver is one we will cancel.
Prices, and what is included
Every price on the shop is in Indian Rupees and includes GST. There is no separate tax added at the end — the total you are shown before you press the button is the total you pay.
The price that counts is the one in force when you place the order. Our prices change, and a product page left open in a tab can show yesterday's price; the total is worked out fresh by our server at the moment you order, and if the delivery charge has gone up since the page loaded we stop and tell you rather than quietly charging more.
We try hard to price correctly, but if a product is listed at an obviously wrong price — a decimal point in the wrong place — we may cancel the order and refund you rather than honour it. We will tell you why.
A GST invoice is issued for every order.
When your order becomes an order
Placing an order is an offer to buy, not yet a sale. The order is confirmed when we dispatch it, and that is the point at which a contract exists between us.
Until then we may decline it — if the item turns out to be out of stock, if we cannot deliver to the address, if the price was clearly wrong, or if we have reason to think the order is not genuine. If we decline, you pay nothing.
Paying
Today we take cash on delivery only. You pay the delivery person when the parcel reaches you; there is nothing to enter on the website and we never ask for card or bank details.
Online payment is coming. When it does, the payment page will say so and these terms will be updated before it goes live — not after.
Delivery
We deliver across India. Delivery costs ₹99, and is free once your basket reaches ₹3,000. The charge is shown on the checkout page before you commit to anything.
The arrival window we show — usually a few days for us to pack and a few more in transit — is an honest estimate based on where the parcel is going, not a promise. Weather, strikes, festivals and the courier's own delays are outside our control. If something is running badly late, write to us and we will chase it.
Please make sure someone can receive the parcel and pay for it. If nobody is available after the courier's attempts, the parcel comes back to us and the order is cancelled.
Cancellations and returns
Orders cannot be cancelled once they are placed, and we do not accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind. Please check the item, the size and the quantity before you place the order.
As payment is on delivery, please note that refusing a parcel at the door is not a cancellation. The order was placed, the item was packed and a courier was paid to carry it, and we may decline further orders from an account that does this repeatedly.
Items made or personalised to your order cannot be returned.
This does not affect what we owe you if something is wrong with what we sent. If your order arrives damaged, is not the item you ordered, or does not match how it was described on the site, contact us within 48 hours with a photograph. We will collect it and refund you in full, including delivery. Your rights under Indian consumer law are unaffected by anything on this page.
Refunds, where they are due, are made to the same method you paid by within 14 days of the item reaching us.
What the photographs show
We photograph our products carefully, but screens differ and colour on a phone is never exactly colour in a room. Small variation between the picture and the piece you receive is normal and is not a fault.
Handmade and hand-blocked pieces vary from one to the next by their nature. That is the point of them, not a defect.
Using this website
The photographs, words, designs and layout on this site belong to us or to the people we licensed them from. You are welcome to look, share a link, and screenshot something to show a friend. You may not copy the catalogue, scrape it, resell our images, or pass our products off as your own.
Please do not attempt to break, overload or probe the site, and do not use it to do anything unlawful. We may close an account that does.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for getting you the thing you ordered, in the condition it should be in, and for putting it right when we do not.
We are not responsible for losses beyond that — for example, what you might have earned had the parcel arrived sooner. Nothing here limits any right you have under Indian consumer law, and nothing here excludes our liability for death, injury or fraud, because the law does not allow that and nor would we.
If the site is down or a page is wrong for a while, we will fix it, but we cannot promise it is available every minute.
If something goes wrong
Contact our grievance officer. Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 we acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.
Grievance Officer: Vineet Singh, Krevia Studios LLP. Telephone +91 80886 35729. Post: HNO B77/1, Lakhmi Vihar, Meerut - 250004, Uttar Pradesh, India.
If we have not put it right, you can take the matter to the consumer forum where you live. We would much rather hear from you first.
Changes, and which law applies
We may update these terms. The version and the date they took effect are at the top of this page, so you can always see which version you are reading. An order is governed by the terms in force on the day you placed it, not by a version we published afterwards.
These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction. This does not take away your right to complain to a consumer forum where you live.
